Position Summary

The Brand Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading Donatos' public relations, external communications, and social media strategy by driving effective collaboration between agencies and the company. This role also supports system-wide brand marketing initiatives to increase consumer engagement and boost restaurant sales.

Job duties and responsibilities

Public Relations & Communications:

  • Collaborates with PR agency to develop and distribute press releases.
  • Develops and executes strategic PR calendar to support brand sales events and initiatives.
  • Cultivates and maintains media relationships locally, regionally, and nationally.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for media inquiries and manages timely and brand aligned responses.
  • Coordinates and leads all submissions and nominations for industry or local awards.
  • Monitors media and social channels for potential brand concerns.
  • Manages executive interview inquiries and coordinates logistics.
  • Reports and strategizes on overall communication impressions for the company.

Brand Engagement:

  • Collaborates with agencies to develop and maintain organic social media calendar.
  • Oversees day-to-day management of brand-owned organic social media channels.
  • Trains and supports franchise partners to create and share social content that is within brand guidelines and drives engagement.
  • Manages community engagement across all social platforms, fostering brand interactions.
  • Tracks and reports on social media performance, providing insights on brand engagement metrics and analytics.

Brand Marketing Support:

  • Provides general support across brand marketing initiatives as needed to help drive awareness and engagement system wide.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams and external agencies on various projects aligned with brand priorities.

Work Arrangement Options

Donatos has identified this position is eligible for the following work arrangement(s):

  • Full-Time Onsite:Position requires the physical presence of an Associate due to the nature of the work or the necessity to collaborate with partners to complete their work. Position may also follow strict IRS or Government regulations with heavy amounts of filing, printing, and oversight required.
  • Hybrid:Position requires the physical presence of an Associate to complete someduties or collaboration, balancedwith solo work that does not require on-site resources or relationships. The Associate in this position will work 3 regularly scheduled days onsite, 2 days off-site weekly.

Minimum requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.

Previous Experience

  • Minimum 3 years Marketing and Communications experience.
  • Experience with cross-functional projects.

Physical Requirements

  • None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
