Were looking for an experienced, energetic and passionate marketing professional to support the business development initiatives of CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc.s dynamic Programs Division. The CBIZ Programs Division provides specialty insurance tailor-made for specific industries and other unique coverage needs of business owners.
The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the writing, development and management of content for the division, including web content, white papers, articles and blogs, and ads. The position will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the programs marketing team, and plays a critical role in the development and execution of our content strategy end-to-end, from writing engaging content that attracts site traffic and nurtures leads to distributing that content through multiple channels. We are looking for a results-oriented marketing professional with a stellar B2B writing background, strong attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset. Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Copywriting and Content Development (50%)
Research, write, edit, proofread and manage all content, working collaboratively with subject matter experts to translate information into compelling and engaging messaging.
Write both long and short-form content, including but not limited to emails, ebooks, infographics, advertisements, and website copy
Manage blog, creating regular and relevant blog content that garners strong traffic while providing SEO benefits.
Develop and execute a content marketing strategy, leveraging all forms of content, that engages target audiences, drives increased traffic and delivers qualified sales leads.
Proofread materials for colleagues and provide quality control
Understand and translate CBIZ Programs brand and style guidelines into a clear, confident, and human voice
Content Strategy (25%)
Develop editorial strategy, in collaboration with the Growth Marketing Manager, and maintain content marketing calendar.
Build and maintain accurate content reporting
Follow and understand industry trends, competitive insights, customer needs, content metrics and online conversations to map out, evolve and optimize editorial content strategy
Content Scalability (25%)
Develop a scalable process for content creation with both internal and external subject-matter experts.
Enhance existing content, including expanding and redeveloping existing content into new assets to strengthen our content library and create diverse content consumption
Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or similar field
4-6 years of experience as a content development professional
Love for writing
Knowledge of the P&C insurance and/or travel/leisure industries
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated B2B writing for digital and offline marketing initiatives, including blogs, email campaigns, banner ads, print and web-branded materials, direct mail, print ads, etc.
Demonstrated experience writing and managing a professional blog
Flexibility with changing priorities and managing diverse responsibilities within compressed time frames
Ability to build relationships and collaborate at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Highly motivated, willingness to think outside the box, and work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to learn new skills as they become necessary
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
1 year of proven business development experience
Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
Demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proficient use of applicable technology
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Proven track record of meeting sales targets
Results driven and customer focused
Must be able to travel based on client and business need
