The Basics of a Marketing Analyst:
- Exempt/Hybrid Position (in office requirements will be discussed with manager).

What you'll do as a Marketing Analyst:
This role is responsible for leveraging multiple data platforms to analyze membership data, tracking marketing performance, and providing data-driven insights to support marketing strategy and decision-making. This role involves creating and utilizing multiple data intelligence tools to assess trends, develop projections, and support campaign tracking and optimization. The Marketing Analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and marketing leadership to enhance member engagement, product adoption, and overall business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Market Intelligence: Collaborate to deploy data-driven strategies to drive business growth and ensure high levels of member experience. Utilize techniques to extract actionable insights from multiple, complex data sources. Conduct ongoing analysis of membership data to identify churn patterns, product/service adoption rates, marketing performance, and opportunities for product/service growth. Use data intelligence to develop growth projections and estimations for various products and services. Perform research to identify qualifiers for ongoing promotions. Perform ROI analysis for marketing-related projects and campaigns. Monitor competitor marketing strategies and industry trends to provide benchmarking insights. Identify emerging market trends that could impact marketing strategies and business growth.
- Marketing & Campaign Performance Tracking: Develop and implement ad hoc reports, graphs, visuals, maps, and other data-related materials as needed. Create reports for campaign tracking, targeted messaging, and other marketing analysis using MCIF data. Work closely with the Marketing team to share insights, campaign reports, and other relevant data to inform strategy and execution. Leverage member data and segmentation techniques to create personalized marketing strategies that enhance engagement, retention, and product adoption. Work with marketing teams to implement targeted messaging and optimize outreach efforts. Collaborate with internal partners and external strategists to identify marketing opportunities, track campaign performance, assess performance of marketing programs, and identify growth opportunities. Utilize various data platforms to generate reports, analyze campaigns, and identify opportunities based on account activity, such as transactions, tenure, engagement, and product penetration. Design and implement A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, website optimizations, and digital initiatives. Interpret test results and provide recommendations for actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Tools & Platform Management: Serve as the primary owner and champion of Claritas P$ycle psychographic data to develop, maintain, and utilize member personas for targeted marketing strategies. Leverage CUAnalyst to assess market intelligence, consumer demographics, and anticipated branch performance, as well as generate prospect lists for marketing purposes. Own and manage the Marquis Executrax MCIF tool to conduct member research on product penetration, service adoption, and demographics. Maintain ownership of the Google Analytics platform, ensuring accurate tracking and performance assessment. Analyze customer touchpoints and engagement metrics to optimize the customer journey. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance member experiences based on data-driven insights.
- Collaboration & Strategic Insights: Work closely with internal and external partners to drive awareness and provide insights to support business growth strategies. Partner with marketing vendors and internal team members to utilize tools (such as Google Analytics) to assess SEM/SEO performance, identify opportunities, and optimize marketing efforts. Collaborate and share findings with various business units to provide marketing data, campaign tracking, and targeted insights to support business objectives. Work closely with IT business intelligence team members to implement tools and data dashboards. Champion refinement of existing reporting beyond current marketing tools, ensuring data feeds and FTPs contain relevant and accurate data. Support Marketing leadership by delivering key insights, projections, and data reports to influence overall marketing strategy and provide executive-level reporting as needed. Identify opportunities to automate reporting and data visualization processes.
- Budget Tracking & Financial Analysis: Monitor marketing budgets, track expenses, and analyze the financial performance of marketing initiatives to ensure cost efficiency and strategic resource allocation. Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights into budget utilization and return on investment, supporting data-driven decision-making for marketing strategy. This includes developing financial reports, assessing campaign cost-effectiveness, and identifying opportunities to optimize marketing expenditures. Assist SVP marketing in aligning financial planning with marketing objectives, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact and growth.
- Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements when handling member and marketing data. Work closely with IT, Compliance, and Marketing to implement best practices for data security and governance. This includes maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive member information, adhering to industry regulations, and ensuring that all marketing data is collected, stored, and utilized in compliance with internal policies and external guidelines. The role will also support the refinement of data processes to enhance reporting accuracy and maintain high standards for data-driven decision-making.

- Greater Good: As a member of the marketing team, demonstrate stewardship for the credit unions Greater Good program through maximizing volunteer hours, promoting the program internally, and fully engaging with the strategic initiatives driven by the program.
- Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.

- Experience: 4+ years of experience in a data-driven marketing or analytics role.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Haves for a Marketing Analyst:
- Skills: Experience with Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms. Understanding of credit union or financial services marketing is a plus. Experience with psychographic segmentation tools such as Claritas P$ycle is a plus.
- Education: Marketing or technology certifications. Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
