From the very beginning, SiriusXM Connect has been charting the course of connectivity. Just as SiriusXM Radio pioneered satellite audio entertainment, SiriusXM Connect traces its roots back to the origin of vehicle telematics, launching one of the first consumer connected vehicle programs in 1996. What youll do:
In this role, the Director of Product Marketing plays a key role in defining how a product is positioned in the market, ensuring that it is successfully launched and marketed, and continuously optimizing marketing efforts to drive growth and customer satisfaction. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, market expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.
Go-to-Market Strategy (GTM) Develop and execute launch plans, aligning sales, marketing, and product teams.
Positioning & Messaging Craft compelling product narratives that differentiate in the market.
Market Research & Customer Insights Conduct competitive analysis, customer interviews, and industry research to inform strategy.
Sales Enablement Equip sales teams with collateral, playbooks, and training to effectively sell the product.
Demand Generation & Growth Work closely with demand gen teams to drive awareness, lead acquisition, and customer engagement.
Product Adoption & Customer Success Drive initiatives that enhance onboarding, retention, and product usage.
Pricing & Packaging Define and refine pricing strategies to optimize revenue and market penetration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a bridge between product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
Performance Tracking & Metrics Measure product marketing success through KPIs like pipeline influence, conversion rates, and customer engagement.
Thought Leadership Represent the company in industry events, webinars, and content marketing efforts.
What youll need:
The SiriusXM Connect Director of Product Marketing needs a strong blend of skills, experience, and qualifications to effectively manage product marketing strategies and drive business success.
Bachelors Degree: A bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field.
Experience in Product Marketing: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product marketing or a related field. This should include experience with developing go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging.
Industry Expertise: Relevant experience in technology and B2B preferred. Deep knowledge of industry trends and customer needs is crucial.
Sales Collaboration: Experience working closely with sales teams and supporting sales enablement efforts to drive revenue growth.
Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and implement long-term marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
Market Research and Analysis: Strong skills in conducting market research, analyzing data, and using insights to guide marketing strategies and product development.
Messaging and Positioning: Expertise in crafting clear, compelling product messaging that resonates with target customers and differentiates the product in the market.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution: Proficiency in planning and executing go-to-market strategies, including product launches, demand generation, and marketing campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with various departments, including product management, sales, engineering, and customer success.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to measure marketing effectiveness, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.
